Giving Tuesday[s]

Giving Tuesday

In myHeart’s annual letter to update our donors, Judy [and] I noted that the most exciting aspect of our first year has been the planting and cultivating of seeds of relationship with individuals facing cancer as well as other organizations dedicated to providing support for families affected by cancer and to the funding of research aimed towards a cure for one [and] all.

We are better because of each of you in our lives [and] the life of our organization: thank you!

As I considered a post on Christmas day, I wanted to highlight an organization that serves as the hands [and] feet for those facing crucible-like conditions in the daily of their lives.

Having been interviewed recently by the Eric D. Davis Foundation, I chose to highlight this organization as they serve a patient population that I am forever a part of though the disease, sarcoma-Ewing’s, no longer holds my body hostage. The Eric D. Davis foundation was founded in 2012 by Zanetta and Nia Davis in honor of her husband, Eric, [and] Nia’s father who died on October 8, 2011 at 40 years young.Family

Providing an assist in basketball refers to a player setting up another player to score. Well, the Eric D. Davis Sarcoma Foundation exists to provide the assist to individuals [and] families battling a sarcoma diagnosis; positioning others to be supported regardless of outcome with the hope of providing the ultimate assist, a cure for one [and] all.

Purpose driven by their faith [and] inspired by the way Eric fought the good fight, the Eric D. Davis Sarcoma Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization is “dedicated to finding a cure for sarcoma by increasing public awareness, funding sarcoma research, and providing support for adults with darcoma and their families through financial assistance, education, and advocacy striving daily to provide the assist to those facing crucible-like conditions in the daily of their lives.

There are so many ways that one can provide an assist to this foundation:
