Late Effects Side Effects Resources

Survivors, myHeart is pleased to provide you with a list of late side effects resources compiled by Dr. Tiffany Scharadin. Dr. Scharadin is involved in molecular research within the oncology field at the University of California in Davis, CA.

Tiffany is also the daughter of the late Cindy Graeff, a faithful advocate on behalf of those facing late effects secondary to radiation therapy, in particular radiation-induced brachial plexopathy (RIBP).

I’m so through with the medical team who say when your finish your treatment you should be back to normal whatever that is . chemo and radition all that are forgien to the body even taking any med there are side effects let’s be real here. I wanna go back to work I want the benfits that work produces. However, once again I’m stuck my body on the right side has pain almost all the time that requires some type of pain meds. Which in turn hinder my proformance. Yet they say if you can’t prove it it isn’t there. What about numbness . I’m so tired of people determing my fate what happen to my freedom of choice. Will people ever take the effects of cancer off of me . Then should they have just let me die? I’ve been cancer free for one year. But I want a life where I provide for myself. I thank god for my life but I just want people like me to have a better quality of life.
